Improve your oral health with a sinus lift in Dubai
Oval Dental Clinic offers sinus lift surgery techniques like external and hydraulic, aiming to increase bone quantity in the upper jaw, particularly in molars and premolars, for successful dental implant placement, often when the maxillary sinus is too close.

How to Know That You Need the Service
Insufficient Bone Height
- Natural anatomical limitations.
- Bone resorption after tooth loss.
- Extended periods without teeth in the upper jaw.
Preparing for Dental Implants
If you need multiple implants in the upper jaw, especially in the molar or premolar region, your dentist may recommend a sinus lift to ensure there is enough bone to support all the implants securely
Bone Loss Due to Periodontal (Gum) Disease
Severe periodontal disease can lead to bone loss in the upper jaw, affecting the stability of existing teeth and making it challenging to place implants. A sinus lift can restore bone volume in this region
Close Proximity of Sinuses to the Jawbone
In some individuals, the sinuses naturally sit very close to the jawbone, leaving little to no space for implant placement. A sinus lift creates additional space and reinforces the area with bone material to support the implant securely.
Missing Upper Molar or Premolar Teeth
The upper back teeth are located near the maxillary sinuses. When these teeth are lost, the bone in this area often begins to deteriorate over time. If you’ve been missing these teeth for a prolonged period and are considering implants, you may need a sinus lift to rebuild the necessary bone structure.
Our Process
1
Comprehensive Assessment
Your journey begins with a consultation with an experienced oral surgeon or periodontist. During this session, your dentist will examine your oral health, discuss your medical history, and provide diagnostic tests, such as X-rays or CT scans, to identify the condition of your jawbone and the position of your maxillary sinus.
2
Personalised Treatment Plan
Based on the evaluation results, your dentist will develop a tailored treatment plan for you. This plan details the sinus lift operation, including the type of graft material and surgical technique to be used.We create a personalised plan adapted to your individual requirements, assuring a safe and effective procedure.
3
Sinus Lift Surgery
On the day of the surgery, you will be given local or general anaesthesia to keep you comfortable and pain-free.Your dental surgeon will make a small incision in the gum tissue at the location of the sinus lift. This incision provides access to the underlying bone and sinus membrane. The next step is to gently press the sinus membrane upward, creating a space between it and the jawbone.
4
Graft placement
Once the sinus membrane has been raised, bone graft material is inserted into the newly created space. Depending on your unique requirements and preferences, the graft material may be autograft (your bone), allograft (donor bone), or synthetic material.
5
Post-Surgery Care
You will receive post-operative care instructions to follow during your recuperation. It is normal to feel some swelling and soreness in the days after the treatment, but this usually goes away within a week or two. Most patients can resume normal activities within a few days, however vigorous physical activity should be avoided during the early healing period.
